Steve’s Nigeria Trip - Day 9
Hi!
I failed to mention that yesterday when traveling back from Kano in the north we stopped to visit with two small coffee farmers, which hadn’t been part of our plans. These farmers have between 200-1000 trees each. They were excited to talk about their farms and wells but both had needs for pumps, costing $600 dollars or less, in order to get the water out more efficiently. They also took …

Then we went to the market and took pictures. …

We went with the eight to ten year olds to fill plastic jugs with water, which they carried on …

We literally spend our day at church for 7 hours, worship, preaching and eating. Emmanuel Aparson’s was the pastor at the church that meets at Abia State University. The ride to and from the church was awesome back country where people were washing and bathing in the small streams along the way.
Our original plans had us flying to Abuja this evening and on to Jos tomorrow, but our plans changed. …

July 19th
We had pineapple and papaya for breakfast. After breakfast, we hiked through the jungle on a trail that took us to the top of the mountain where 10 acres of land was cleared for the school. There was a small canopy set up where 30 people gathered for the ceremony to dedicate this ground, school and all that goes on here. Several local pastors were in …
