Roaster’s Blog: Ethiopian Decaf
Evening Coffee, with Woody
Once again I bring you an episode of nighttime coffee drinking. Sometimes, I am in the mood for a cup of coffee late at night. Who am I kidding? I am usually in the mood for a great cup of coffee! So tonight I reached for our Natural Ethiopian Water Processed Decaf. Ethiopian is a lighter coffee full of herbal aromas and light lingering flavors; this decaf is no exception. The aroma after roasting is full of caramel, vanilla, tamarind and roasty flavors. When you add water to brew, you can smell the citrusy flavor in the coffee really come out. In the cup this coffee is delicate. I would recommend it black with no cream or sugar added. It is full of lemony tea flavor as well as herbal berry overtones. This coffee has a distinct lingering sweetness on the palette that I find quite amazing in a decaf coffee.
If it’s late at night and you don’t want to be up to the wee hours of the morning, I recommend reaching for One Village Coffee’s Ethiopian Decaf. It will be sure to enhance your evening.
