Roaster’s Blog: Guatemala Huehuetenango

This morning I started the day off with our Fair Trade Organic Guatemala Huehuetenango. Drinking it both black and with cream and sugar. The aroma was very rich and warming, with a bit of spice in the nose.  As I drank it, the spice came to the forefront.  I would describe the flavor as warm spice, such as clove or cinnamon.  This is a very silky bodied coffee that is rich and viscous in the mouth, almost velvety. This coffee has what I would consider a classic coffee profile; one that contains a bit of spice, nuttiness and some cocoa. The addition of cream and sugar simply enhance the whole experience without taking anything away from it; it holds up really well.

For those of you looking for that rich, classic, coffee experience, this is the one you are looking for. For me, this is an especially good morning coffee that won’t let you down.

Good day and good coffee.
