This blend is our version of a mélange roast – one single origin roasted to two different levels and blended together afterwards.  This type of blend allows you to experience one kind of coffee in a more unique way.  Lemony, sweet, and a hint of grapefruit best describe the flavor in the cup. The medium body gives a lighter feel on the palate, but we found it to be contrasted nicely with a great depth and complexity due to the blending method.

Roast Level: Medium Roast

The classic dark roast – full-bodied with nutty and smoky aroma gives this blend a strong flavor in the cup. It’s complemented well with cream and sugar if you prefer a smoother and sweeter taste. We spent a lot of time finding the right coffees that could hold up to such a dark roast level, and this particular blend balances the flavor of the bean with the flavor of the dark roast excellently.

Our House Reserve blend started out as a special seasonal medium roast blend for the fall, but it was so well received that we decided to add it our coffee offerings on a full time basis. This blend brings together two highly fruited and bright coffees to form a well balanced cup with a great aroma. In its conception, the House Reserve was inspired by the feeling of a cool autumn morning just after summer.

A blend of half regular and half decaf, our Evening Blend is smooth, dark and rich. It is decaffeinated through a natural water process, which is free from chemicals that can alter and diminish quality. The result is a decaf brew with all the flavor of a premium coffee.

Our current espresso offering is a result of months of testing, drinking and lots of sleepless nights. Espresso blends are truly an art in the coffee world. Fine-tuning the flavor and achieving the right balance are critical to an excellent espresso. With this in mind, we intended to create a unique blend based on the tradition of Northern Italy. The medium roast of this blend brings out notes of almond and fresh fruit on the palette. You’ll find a great balance in the cup with milk, and a great body for just a straight espresso.

The Artist Blend combines a dark roast with a lighter roast element. The idea behind the blend is to have a French roast flavor which is smoky and strong, and couple it with a Full City roast to add a touch of fruit and brightness for smoothness. The end result is a coffee both bold and smooth in the cup. It works as a great breakfast blend to start your day or anytime you want to enjoy a refreshingly smooth coffee.

The Smart Blend is OVC’s take on the oldest coffee blend around – Mocca-Java. Coffee originated in Ethiopia, and left the port of Mocca towards Indonesia where it was mostly grown on the Isle of Java. The very first blend since became Mocca-Java. The Smart Blend is a fresh look at this classic blend. A medium-dark roast makes this blend full-bodied and spicy with hints of cocoa and ripe blueberries on the palette.

The Aurora Blend is one of the lightest roasts we make. A very bright and lemony flavor with floral highlights is balanced with a delicate acidity to create a truly unique blend. It’s an excellent alternative to the richer coffees. We recommend pairing it with a lighter dessert, or something not too rich that could mask the delightful flavor in this cup.

Roast Level: Medium

Distinct and well balanced, this is ac offee to be savored all throughout the day.  It is grown high in the mountains of Honduras and harvested at the peak of flavor.  The aroma of this coffee is big and bold. In the cup you will find hints of honey, maple and vanilla.  If you are looking for a new favorite, this may just be it.

Coffees from Costa Rica tend to be full bodied and clean in the cup. This one is no exception. Our newest coffee tantalizes the senses with a caramel, vanilla aroma; deep dark cocoa and berry flavors in the cup; and a rich, full-bodied feel on the palette. It’s a growing favorite among many of our coffee drinkers, and being a Fair Trade coffee you can be sure it’s doing its part towards a more sustainable future.

Roast Level: Medium/Dark

This is a traditional favorite among coffee drinkers. We roast it a bit lighter to bring out the blackberry and spicy notes hidden in this coffee. In the cup, it’s typically a medium body with a bright aftertaste, and if you look for it you may even notice a hint of wheat toast.

It’s difficult to overestimate the work growers put into producing Kenyan coffee. Farmers are well organized and educated. Coffee is sold by the grade, such as “AA”, and both competitive quality and rewards among growers are driving factors in this region. The herbal aroma in this coffee is contrasted nicely with cedar, orange and a fine acidity in the cup. A traditional first-rate coffee.

Roast Level: Medium/Dark

The birthplace of coffee - coffee from this region retains some of the most ancient flavors around today. Being specially processed by the growers and coupled with the right roast level gives it a truly distinctive taste; a combination of sweet peaches and lemony citrus. The semi-dark roast brings out a chocolate-spice character for a well rounded cup. It’s definitely a house favorite!

El Salvador’s quality of coffee continues to grow each year, including a lot that recently won the prestigious Cup of Excellence award. We prefer the Santa Rita region because the rustic and earthy aromas enhance the creamy texture in the cup that is also nuanced by apricot accents. This is a coffee to savor.

The fragrant floral aroma with spicy notes blends with zesty lemon and walnut in the cup. Cocoa and herbal mint are also subtle additions not to be missed. The lighter body, typical of Mexican coffee, is enriched by a nice medium roast for good balance.

Generally considered a rather exceptional coffee for its quality and consistency, chocolate and nutty flavors distinguish this coffee. And being a smooth, full-bodied coffee with a light citrus finish makes this a wonderful cup for any coffee lover.

Our best selling single origin! Sumatran coffee is generally noted as an excellent coffee distinguished by its various levels of processing. A darker roast brings out flavors of caramel and spice in the cup. The smooth body and earthy, chocolate aroma are contrasted with the bite of mild citrus. We think you’ll enjoy discovering why it’s everyone’s favorite.

All of our decaf coffees use a natural water process that is free of chemicals, but also maintains the most flavor of the bean. The House Blend Decaf has a deep and slightly smoky aroma with an underlying brightness. The initial flavor is smoky and rich with a hint of fruity sweetness.  There is also a nutty, almost roasted peanut flavor in the cup. If you are looking for a great full-bodied decaf, look no further than this blend.
