STEP 1 | Make your Coffee!
As with most affogato's they are traditionally made by pouring a shot of espresso over a bowl of ice cream! Now, since I don't have an espresso machine in my home, I went with my next best option...The Aeropress coffee brewer along with The Villager blend coffee!
I often forget how versatile and practical the Aeropress is. It travels well, it makes a delicious single cup of coffee, or a concentrated cup of coffee similar to a shot of espresso. It's the perfect choice in making an affogato in your own kitchen, around a campfire, or at your desk at work/in a college dorm room!
STEP 2 | Pick your ice cream!
When it comes to ice cream we all know there are 2 kinds of people in this world. Those who love vanilla and those who love chocolate! That is why we went with the half n' half from Merrymead Farm (a local farm to our Roastery here in PA). Which would you choose (let us know in the comments below)?
