Lindsay Marie Ackerman has fond memories of loving the medium of art as a child and now, as an adult, she has launched her own business, LMA Art. Her art captures memories for others in the form of splendid hand-painted portraits. One Village Coffee is honored to help fuel Lindsay's dreams, and we took some time to get to know more about Lindsay and the story behind her affection for art and coffee, and how they blend.
One Village Coffee: When was the first time you remember wanting to be an artist as your vocation?
OVC: Who are a few other artists that inspire you?
LMA: One artist’s work that inspires me constantly is the art of Beatrix Potter. Her sweet, simple, yet realistic style of characters like Peter Rabbit and friends is a huge inspiration. I am also very inspired by peer artists that I’ve connected with on social media such as Morgan Casteel and Brynn Casey, who are two painters that have such incredible talents.
OVC: How does coffee fuel your ability to make art?
LMA: Coffee is an everyday ritual that I love indulging in. The feeling of having coffee while at my desk is so comforting, while having a cup while running business related errands is a complete necessity. I couldn't do it without it!

OVC: What’s your favorite One Village Coffee roast and why?
LMA: Legend is my all time favorite One Village Coffee roast. I love anything smoky, and dark chocolate is just an added bonus. My favorite past limited release was Costa Rica, basically because it was coffee that had hints of red wine. Can it get any better?
OVC: What pop culture item (song, movie, streaming series, book) are you currently into right now?
LMA: I’m currently listening to a lot of Caamp songs; By and By and All the Debts I Owe are on repeat. I am also very into Podcasts whenever I’m in the car, some of my favorites are Crime Junkies and The Goop Podcast.
