The Story
Worka Chelbessa is an effervescent coffee overflowing with unique complexity. It starts with jasmine and tropical aromatics wafting up from the grinder. In the cup we find notes of peach black tea with sugary tangerine and mango notes. This coffee exhibits a unique balance of tropical, floral, and botanical character, and finishes in a soft citrus slow fade. Worka Chelbessa hails from the famous Yirgacheffe region, more specifically from SNAP Coffee’s wet mill in the Worka Chelbessa community. Entrepreneur Neguesse Debela started milling and export company SNAP Coffee in 2008 and over the years has expanded the operation to six wet mills in Nensebo, Gedeb, and Guji. In 2019, SNAP finished construction on their own dry mill, bringing processing and export fully under their control.
