The Story
CODECH is a beautiful example of the understated complexity of great coffees from the Huehuetenango region. The flavor profile fires on all cylinders in a graceful, balanced fashion. It’s kind of nutty, kind of caramelly, kind of fruity. Brew it up and it tastes full and sugary sweet with notes of molasses and caramel. The fruited elements remind us of cherries and baked apples, with finishing touches of lime zest and crushed toasted walnuts. A super-drinkable tasty treat!
CODECH is a co-op located in the town of Concepción Huista, high up in the mountains of Huehuetenango. It consists of 8 sub-organizations which represent over 500 coffee producers in total. The co-op has been instrumental in helping member producers find better pricing for their coffee in the marketplace.
Cheers!
