The Story
We’re proud to present our first offering from Co-op Copaceyba! Located in Sanchirio Palomar in the Junín region of central Peru, the co-op works closely with Shared-X. Co-op members sell their cherries to the nearby Finca Matapalo where the coffee is processed and dried. The fledgling co-op is just a few years old and is quite small with only 12 member farmers. Working with Shared-X provides members with expert agronomic support, access to markets, fertilizers, and milling services. This coffee is a balance beam of flavors running the gamut from a subtle lime acidity to a lingering caramel finish with notes of red grape, toasted nuts, and molasses anchoring the middle.
