Francisco Pascuaza’s farm Finca Veranera sits way up in the Andes at 2100 meters above sea level, an incredibly high altitude for coffee cultivation! Higher elevation coffees are coveted by buyers - they mature more slowly than lower elevation coffees which helps produce more acidity and sweetness in the cup. This is a lovely complex coffee that exhibits a wide range of flavors. Green grape and orange zest provide the snap, crackle, and pop while sugary notes of dates, vanilla and honey keep the flavor profile planted in rich sweetness, finally, the semi-sweet chocolate finish brings you back down to earth. Yum!
