Colombia produces mind-boggling amounts of coffee, like 15-million-bags-this-year mind-boggling. Colombian coffees are reliably good, and lots of Colombian coffees are great, and lots of Colombian coffees are just stunningly delicious! This coffee, a community lot from producers in and around the town La Unión, is one of the great ones. It has a heart of dark chocolate with fruited accents in the orange color family, fruits like apricot, peach and well.. orange. We also find some refreshing grapefruit and white grape layered in the cup over a heavy sweetness reminiscent of raw sugar or mild honey.
