At One Village, we believe coffee is more than just a product—it’s a connection. Full Circle reflects this belief by bringing together the people who grow it, roast it, brew it, and share it. Our vision is to build a global village where farmers are supported, customers are inspired, and every cup embodies our commitment to sustainability, transparency, and the well-being of people and the planet—and Full Circle does just that.
FARMERS
Full Circle is a rotating blend of African coffees. Currently it is composed of Rwanda Kanzu washed, Ethiopia Guji Gora Kone Natural, and Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Kochere washed.
Rwanda Kanzu - Our importer Red Fox started buying this coffee in 2009 after discovering its quality in 2007 and finding an exporter, Dormans, who was able to buy the financially struggling washing station. The management and farmers here are super loyal, delivering their cherry year after year, and this really helps them to pump out quality year after year. In a recent year, farmers were rewarded with a special breed of cow as a reward for their hard work and loyalty. The washing station is at a really high elevation and sits right next to a huge protected nation forest Nyungwe, this creates the perfect micro-climate for coffee.
Ethiopia Gora Kone - Gora Kone is translated as “Mountain Hump”, this washing station in Nansebo sits in the river valley below the mountain. The coffee is grown in the hills around the station, and between 700-800 farmers deliver their cherry here to be processed both as washed and natural lots. This lot is a natural. Farms here are small, usually less than 4 hectares.
Burundi Rimiro Natural - The average farmer here has 250 coffee trees, usually in their backyard. These are small farms. This amounts to 200-300 kilos of cherry annually. Bugestal is the company that operates 9 washing stations behind this lot. Farmers deliver their cherry to the washing station, or collection points, whichever is closer. Bugestal bears the cost of transporting the cherry, this way farmers are not disadvantaged due to their location. Naturals are labor intensive, so each washing station produces small quantities of naturals, and they are blended together to make the Rimiro lot.
ROASTERS
As roasters, we love a good African coffee (Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda are the predominant origins for us) for its complexity and acidity that tends to make the coffee taste more fruity and lively. We set out to create a crowd-pleasing roast—one that’s not too light, not over-roasted, and just right for highlighting the vibrant notes of specialty coffee. Our goal is to let those natural flavors shine while keeping the cup balanced.
COFFEE LOVERS
Full circle is best suited for drip brewing or French press. For the more adventurous, it will be a higher acidity and fruitier espresso. Enjoy the lively tasting notes from the dedicated coffee farmers in Africa.
